Beer Review: St. Bernardus Christmas Ale

IMG_9977_crop

What other beer could be reviewed today? Well a few, but this one I have been saving. This is the Christmas Ale from St. Bernardus. The label is one of the most Christmas themed I have seen and really feels like it suits Christmas.

It tastes like the typical St. Bernardus flavor that is found in their other beers. The nose is sweet and has that distinctive Belgian Abbey smell to it. The taste is warming, with subtle notes of spices and fruits and leaves a nice warming feeling after. Perfect for the Northern Hemisphere in the cold, but just as nice down here. I would highly recommend this beer, it is a real treat.

Merry Christmas everyone!
