Beer Review: Tuatara Double Trouble

IMG_9978_crop

As far as hoppy beers go, this must be one of the strongest with a massive 167 IBU. Despite this the beer is not overpowering at all, strong yes, but relatively easy drinking. The label has a 3D effect which shows hops when viewed with red and blue 3D glasses, which is a nice touch and won the beer some awards a few years ago.

The nose is sweet and hoppy with tropical notes. The taste is, unsurprisingly, hoppy, and the finish is that of bitter hops. If you like hops, this beer is for you, and it does them very well.
