This is a decent IPA which is a throwback to what a classic IPA should be, bitter. No part of this beer has fruity notes or a sweetness to it. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the variation that occurs among IPAs, but this beer is a refreshing reminder of a classic IPA.
Everything about this beer is hops, the nose, taste, and finish, although the bitterness doesn’t come into it until the taste. The beer uses hops from New Zealand, Australia, and the USA, hence the naming reference to the failed ANZUS alliance. Great for an evening drink.
