With all the different lagers on the market in the craft beer scene alone it can be hard to pick a decent one. This is not like the mass-produced brews which grace the supermarket shelves, and it stands out from other craft beers. Tuatara’s Munich style lager is simply great.
The nose is like most lagers, subtle. This one has light notes of fruits and malts, which is pleasant. The head is thin and fleeting. The taste is in a word, crisp. The flavor mainly is a dry malt, but it is hard to put into words just how crisp it is. In the finish the hops come out leaving a nice taste which again, is crisp. Best cold.
